Leon is a proud Wiradjuri descendant, growing up in Gilgandra NSW, about 60km North West of Dubbo NSW and now resides in Orange, Central West NSW. With Leon's immediate family being able to be traced back many generations, including the areas of where he collects the didgeridoos. Leon also loves catching up with the elders, sitting around the camp fire, listening to them tell their dreamtime stories and learning the traditional ways. Leon's didgeridoo crafting began approximately 10 years ago, working with bloodwood, mallee and the odd red and yellow box. Didges are traditionally sourced, naturally hollow, collected and finished by the artist himself.
