The health benefits of playing a didgeridoo led Darryl to crafting wind instruments. Using the split and hollow style of creating didgeridoos, from naturally fallen wood, soon resulted in crafting flutes. Learning from a well-known Canadian flute-maker, Darryl now crafts his own flutes inspired by traditional Native American culture. His uses a variety of wood for the flutes, from soft local Canadian lumber and reclaimed materials to exotic hardwoods. Each flute is hand crafted & tuned, has its own story, its own voice and its own characteristics that is unique and never duplicated.
The singing voice and beauty of a well crafted flute has a special feeling behind it. I hope you enjoy the sound as much as I have loved the journey!
