These tapping sticks, also called Bilma, are made from Australian Ironwood which is an incredibly hard timber that produce an extremely sharp, high quality sound.

These Bilma are hand carved by Artist Ngongu Ganambarr Botj from North East Arnhem Land (Northern Territory - Australia). He is also a fine Yidaki player and maker.

Bilma are usually used by Indigenous people of Australia as a percussion instrument during the Bungul (ceremonies), to maintain the rhythms during the Yidaki and vocal chants in North East Arnhem Land.

A perfect addition to your didgeridoo!
